John's post on high value stamps got me to thinking - I know that's dangerous.

What is the highest value stamp in your collection in U.S. dollars or equivalent using a current currency converter?

Sorry for this basic question, but do you mean face value of stamp or catalog value?

Face value is what the stamp has printed on it--the other is what one of the catalog's ,(say Scotts catalog),value it at.(condition, condition, condition is soooo important)

Face Value, I guess the Mt.Rushmore and those in the $10, $12, and $14 range.

Catalog Value: I'm not sure, maybe my Inverted Jenny

The topic is "Highest Denomination", therefore I would say LaSwabbie is refering to face value.

This is the highest Aussie stamp I have, issued in 1990.

There is also another $20 stamp issued in 2001, but I don't have this one.

AUD$20 is equivalent to US$14.05 at todays rate.

Hmmm..It would take me a while to answer this question. I am still sorting and classifying from all the big lots I ordered, so I could have anything in there and not even know it yet, lol!

Kirk, maybe mine will be an inverted jenny, too! ROFL
