Correct stamp identification?




Multiple choice:
A. Correct, not bad for a FDC collector!
B. Can not properly identify without knowing wmk, go soak!
C. 100 posts is a long haul.
D. None of the above.

This can't be a #409. The stamp design says it either a #344 or a #384 depending on watermark. The right hand side looks like it might be a paste up single.

When Mailometer coiled their stamps 1 out of every 20 was a paste up. Only 1 out of every 200 stamps had a plt # hidden under the paste up. This one might be worth checking.

Stamp design is "TWO CENTS"
409 = 2 CENTS 2

I find these early Washington and Franklin stamps quite
difficult to identify.
