I was comparing two 579's and saw a difference in the eyes. Scott lists a redrawn eye variety but I can find little about what it should look like (up close). I've included a photo comparing the two. The stamp on the right is the one in question. Can anyone help?

Caper123, that is an awful small picture, but I believe these two are identical other than the right one is better inked.

The variety is listed in French as retouching in the eye socket and along the line where hair falls across temple. It is listed as position 14731-3. Other recut varieties may exist listed under 595 or 599. The two images are not identical. The right image also has a vertical line in the forehead, possibly a gripper crack.

I apologize for the picture. I am just learning how to adjust the photos within the acceptable ranges (old dog new tricks). If I did this correct the subject stamp should be on the bottom. Sorry...
