Hi,I bought this chinese block of four imperforated specimen stamps from a chinese seller on ebay recently. It is a 1894 empress dowager cixi birthday 9c specimen stamps. However,I can see three stamps are inverted on this block except for one is normal(bottom right)and the normal(bottom right)stamp flame lining is abnormal too unlikely the rest of three stamps flame lining which are normal, the bottom right stamp lining start from inside(First red arrow) keep going and turning until reaching outside(Second red arrow),i really do not know how to explain it in detail, hope you get what I mean.I have never seen before any inverted stamp happen on any specimen, proof or normal imperforated stamp block and also the flame lining like this.I have a few questions following below:

1.Is this block of specimen stamps considered as UNIQUE?
2.Have you ever seen any inverted stamp before on any specimen, proof or normal imperforated block and the stamp flame lining keep turning around from inside to outside just like this?
3.Why did the printer wanted to print something like this?
4.Is this empress dowager double dragon specimen stamps RARE block?
5.Highly collectible desireble by the collector?

OK,This are all my asking questions, hope you can answer all of my questions and give me your opinion on this specimen block.I will apprieiciate your help very very much.I have scanned a few SUPERLARGE images below so that you can see it carefully, please enlarge the superlarge images below and tell me what you think.Thanks.

I would send a scan of these to Michael Rodgers in Fla. I sold Him a load of early Asia a number of years ago. He is very honest and really knows his stuff.

Agreed, Michael Rogers is top notch and I have referred a few sellers to him in the past to dispose of their holdings. They were quite happy with the offers.

However, in this case, let's save Mr. Rogers some time and not bother him. There's a reason why this item was sold/bought on ebay...

Khj, I'll take your word for it. What I know about Chinese Stamps could fill a large size post it. Most likely with room to spare!
