The moisture is once again coming out of the gum/paper and it is drying. However, it is unlikely to return to its original totally flat state without a little help. Wait a few days to a week, and then press them for 1-2 days.

The reason they curl/uncurl is because the expansion/contraction of the gum/paper are not the same. But because the stamp has been curled for a period of time, the paper will have suffered minor deformation and the gum may have had some microscopic reflow. That is why it usually does not completely uncurl. Slightly delayed pressing solves the problem and the original curling incident can hardly be detected.

Yes, but 1 day pressing should suffice. Remember not to lay the stamps directly on top of each other. A single phone book or Scott catalog usually does the trick. It is best to have the gummed side of the stamp toward a white glossy surface (like self-adhesive label backing paper), but is not required. I use an Imperial drying book that has glossy pages on one side and blotting paper on the other side.
