Hi Matt and Russ,

Quote:
I make my own album pages using a MS Word based macro Album Page Creator and then print the pages at a professional printer. I love the results.

I started coding a WORD template (Macro) but stopped. The Macro alleviated most of the 'point and click' necessary for making album pages. I stopped because there were features I wanted to incorporate that were not possible in VBA unless I used a ton of windows basic routines (API). Now that I have a knowledge of VB.NET I am looking at reviving the project because the features are possible to program. Also it can now be stand-alone. In another project I developed an interface to WORD and will use that.

I Have a friend who started with MS WORKS Picture It! Publishing and WORD. Now he uses just Microsoft Publishing. He used both because in the WORD drawing layer there were things that were easier to do. With full blown MS Publisher he can do what he was doing in WORD.

Matt ...

Can you tell us a little more about the Word macro? Did you write it? Is it available somewhere? What versions of Word are supported?

... Cal (Maryland, USA)

I'm doing this from my phone, so hopefully this works. I didn't write the code. Its available here:

http://www.commonwealthstamps.com.t...ents/48.html

I think I paid about $20 for it and have made maybe 100 pages that are laid out like the Harris Liberty pages, only I print them on better paper and the text and graphics are crisper.

It took a little while to learn to use it, but now I really like the results. I can include spaces for varieties if I want, and there's just a lot of flexibility.
