If you are referring to the Penny Blue proof and you have an original, yes it is worth significantly more than a pence now.

It would help if you showed a picture. Thank you!

If you want to reply to a specific statement, copy the sentence(s), click Reply to Topic, then click on the quote button (has red arrow) at the top of the textbox, then paste between the quote codes.

The 4th button from the left allows you to insert a pic. The file size has to be less than 90kb, however.

Are the Penny Blues the British stamps? Or am I reading the wrong information online?

The term Penny Blue, for those who collect GB, is usually reserved for a blue color proof of the Penny Black design. It is NOT the 2d blue stamp.

The first stamp is called the Penny Black, and the other postage stamp is usually nicknamed the 2d Blue.

This color proof is what is usually called the Penny Blue (or the One Penny Blue); note the missing corner letters --

This stamp is commonly called the Penny Black (the first postage stamp) --

This stamp which followed is commonly called the 2d Blue --

This is a one penny blue, but reportedly from 1860-71. Does yours look like this?
