Thanks. If I order the pages and binder from Amos I can call and ask them if that will work, they are usually pretty good about inquiries like that. |

Quote: I haven't tried it myself, but there are reports that the Scott International (Big Blues) slipcases also can work for the Minkus Global Supremes. Quote: any slipcases for the four inch binders. Have you considered having the slip cases made for your albums? It could be done relatively inexpensively. I made these three slipcase this week, just to try doing it. Easy. Of course some learning as I went.. The Red & brown slipcase holds two years (12 issue) of La Posta, a postal history journal. The Yellow mid size slipcase holds two years ( 8 issues) of Western Express, another postal history journal, and the Yellow & Brown slipcase is for the two volume set of The United States Two Cent Red Brown of 1883 - 1887, Edward L. Willard's classic. |

Both the older rounded Minkus global international binders and the new flat ones will fit in the Scott international big blue JUMBO slip cases as long as they are not overstuffed.
The round one fit with no problem. The flat ones you have to just move the top slightly to get it in.
They both fit deep enough so the binders do not stick out.
Hope this helps. |

I perhaps missed it but I did not see any interleaves for these pages on the Amos site. I know Subway offers them. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the clear acetate ones? Is there any issue with static cling? I get that using Scott protectors, stamps on a following page get pulled off when turning ages. I just think the acetates would look better. |

Amos apparently doesn't sell the clear interleaves, just the glassines. I will need to order them separately from Subway.
I am teetering on the edge here with this. One thing that I don't find appealing about the Globals is the white paper. I prefer the ivory/cream color as used by Scott. I keep looking at the price differential with Scott. For around $500 I can buy a system that will take stamps up to 1952. The same amount would cover to 1940 in Scott. I may order the first section and see what happens. |

Eventually you will have both.
I have Scott up to 1990 and Minkus up to 1984 and a 2nd older set of Minkus and still working on all 3. |

Well, hope you make the right choice for yourself. The rest of us can give our two cents, but ultimately it is a matter of personal collector taste. |

I also use the clear interleaves from Subway. No issues with clinging and I also think they look great.
For what it's worth, I really prefer the cream colored pages of Scott over the white pages of the Minkus.

I took the plunge and ordered part 1A of the Global from Amos. Sent a seperate order for the clear interleaves to Subway. I will be busy into the Fall transferring worldwide older material currently in stock books. I decided that the whiter paper won't be a distraction if a page is fairly full. I'd like to eventually have the set to about 1966, when I first got into collecting. |

Regarding the clear interleaves from Subway, I have had no issues with stamps clinging to them, but have experienced the interleaves clinging to each other when I remove them the package. In a few cases, I ended up with two interleaves between facing pages. |
