It took me awhile to finally search through a WW catalog to find out what I had ... but I did it. I believe they are Scott B5-B8, the Mozart issue semipostals from Czechoslovakia (Bohemia & Moravia) dating back to 1941:

Now for my question. Take a look at the higher valued (blue stamp). The perforations, especially in the center, look somewhat skewed. Is that normal for this issue or is it some sort of oddity?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like a pin misalignment or paper slippage. I have seen similar perf faults on other stamps.

It's nice to find them with the tab's still attached!

I agree with revstampman. I does appear to be a perforation mis-alignment. A pair such as the one you have scanned would most likely fall into the EFO (Errors, Freaks & Oddities) category. It won't be worth a lot more but most likely would command a few bucks more than the normal pairs do.

Interesting

Agreed Pin misalignment,
very common in pre war Hungary,
they go really wonky in the "harvester" issues.
(maybe wire for the pins was hard to source at that time)

I bought a complete album of Bohemia and Moravia
mint hinged (with tabs), and used, 5 years ago for $50
They are a good set to collect for the budget minded.

I'm curious Rod, did it include the Heydrich special block?
It's listed at a mere € 15,000.

Is this the one you mean?

Anything at 15,000 (any currency)
is categorically known <not> to exist in my collection.

These types of issues are not permitted
in a recreational collector's collection

Yes that's the one, I couldn't find a pic online.

But I did find this. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Antiques-c...28284727.htm

He probably thinks it's worth that because he has it stapled to a coin holder.
