Here is one that If I had more experience in identifying the ladies on stamps I'm sure it would be much easier. Sure wish someone hadn't cut through the perfs!

The cancellation date looks like 1925.

I would consider this a rather simple stamp but after closer examination it has some cool profile images on both the upper left and right sides.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think that is the Netherlands or Nederland or Holland.

I like the colour and fine detail. Haven't seen that one before. Nice.

This stamp from the Netherlands was issued in 1923 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Wilhelmina. She was born in 1880, and was 10 years of age when her father, William III died in 1890. She became queen at that time, but her mother (Emma) acted as regent until Wilhelmina turned 18, in 1898, and was formally crowned.

Very nice, art deco,
and an example of an "orphan" stamp,
(no visible country of origin)

Regarding "orphan stamp" I thought only GB has the privilege not to put the name of the country on the stamp. Before I got my 6 volume scott I thought these Dutch stamps are some of the GBs.

Danko,

You are correct that since the creation of the UPU, all countries have been required to put their name on postage stamps, with the exception of the U.K. which uses the Queen's profile.

However, there a NUMEROUS examples where the rule was not followed, including several from the United States.
