This Belgian stamp seems to have suffered an interesting fate, presumably as a result of scuffing.

Take a look at the broken frame on the left.

Fascinating.
Does it show up as a piece of paper that was scraped up but then re-attached when you look at it on an angle with the light shining on it? Under magnification of course.

I can't see any foreign matter, but I can feel a slight rise in the paper in that area when I run my thumb over it.

Ah, well then.
Interesting and an eye catcher indeed. I have always liked that series with the orderly grid lines and rampant (heraldry means rearing) lion.

Different Jimjamtwo

This is the first I have seen with this type a variety. Upon first appearance, I would have thought it was damaged but when you state you can see a 'raised' level on it at a certain angle, then it is an EFO type probably?

LOL. These kinds of stamps seem to be attracted to me like moths to a flame. I don't collect them but I seem to be accumulating them at an extraordinary rate.

Sorry. I should have explained what EFOs are.

Here is a link to a club that specializes in this type of stamps.

Hopefully, this will clear things up more?
