OK I have two questions. One, I can't get a good scan of the full sheet of these stamps. The resolution is at 600 but I have to reduce it so small that the scan is crummy. Does anyone know how to help with that. The second question is related to Christmas Seals. I know some people collect them, but should I get rid of them separately or leave the sheets intact and sell that way? Does anyone actually collect full sheet Christmas Seals? Thanks as always, Jeff

These sheets are actually Christmas seals. They are often collected as whole sheets. Single are normally sold in multi-year set. The normal cat. for these are about $.20 for a block of 4

If you're trying to scan something as large as a sheet of stamps, you'd probably be better off to post them to a "free" ImageShack (or similar) site and post the link to it here. That way you can use as much space as needed to show the detail of the item.

Sheets are the preferred method of collecting Christmas Seals, but as Russ just pointed out they do not command much of a value. In fact, Scott Specialized (2002 ed.) shows the value at catalog minimum for both issues.

By the way, there are two varieties of both the 1938 and 1939 Christmas Seals (with no difference in value).

For 1938 (WX92) is perf. 12.5 X 12; (WX93) is perf. 12.5 x 12.5
For 1939 (WX96) is perf. 12.5 x 12; (WX97) is perf. 12.5 x 12.5

Jeff,
keep that first sheet intact!
IIRC they are designed by Rockwell Kent
and a desirable collection item.

Offset printed by 4 differing american printers
each added a cypher somewhere on the plate

If for sale, I will be interested to bid.

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly

I collect Canadian Christmas Seals as singles, multiples and full sheets with warning strips.
