Thuburbo Majus is a large Roman site in northern Tunisia. It was originally a Punic town, later founded as a Roman veteran colony by Augustus in 27 B.C.
The stamp depicts the remains of the archway entrance to the temple of the goddess Caelestis.

Corrèze is a commune in the Corrèze department in central France. The stamp depicts Port Margot, the medieval gateway to the old part of the village.

The chain bridge at Stadlec

The chain bridge at Stádlec is the only surviving Empire style chain bridge in Bohemia. It was originally built in Podolsko on the Vltava (Moldau) in 1948 and was relocated on the Lužnice and put back into service in 1975. The stamp shows the two gate towers of the suspension bridge.

Gate of Saint Paul is one of the 11 gates to access the old city. It was built in the second half of the 15th century to allow the access to the fortified city and the Kolona harbor. The gate was rebuilt in 1951.

Temple of Bziza is a well-preserved 2nd century Roman temple. An elegant portico of three limestone columns, the remainder of an original four, support architecture of the ionic order.

Alcántara Bridge and Gate crosses the Tagus River at the foot of the medieval castle of San Servando, on the east side of Toledo. Parts of the bridge date from Roman and Moorish times.

The Three Towers belongs to historic monuments in Luxembourg City. The square central tower dates from the time of the second fortification ring (around 1200) while two circular flanking towers were added in the 14th century.

The Renaissance Swiss Gate is the original entrance to the Hofburg Palace, the former imperial palace in the center of Vienna. It displays the many titles of Emperor Ferdinand I and the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece painted on the ceiling.

Baroqxon madrasasi is a center of ancient science and culture built in Tashkent between 1502 and 1770 AD. The gate of the complex is built with bricks of variuos color and is decorated with Muslim motifs.

Here are images of the two similar semi-postal (charity) stamps depicting the late 3rd century AD Roman Arch of Diocletian in Sbeitla, Tunisia, designed by M. Besson, engraved by Charles Mazelin (1882-1964), and issued for use in Tunisia in 1948 to benefit Army projects, Scott Nos. B104 & B105, plus a photo of the Arch of Diocletian.

Built in Barcelona between 1329 and 1384, in Catalan Gothic style. The "Santa Maria del Mar" (Our Lady of the Seas) Church is the nicest of Catalonia's capital churches.
I, personaly, love it and visit as often as I can.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting the portal and courtyard of the Beguinage of Diest, designed by Jef van Grieken (1950- ), engraved by Paul Huybrechts, and issued by Belgium on December 13, 1980 to promote tourism, Scott No. 1060, plus a photo of the entrance.

The two low values of Singapore's 1991 "houses of Worship" set of 8 features the Hong San See Temple. The upper stamp shows a close-up view of the ornate column.
