Soccer game, an airmail stamp engraved and printed by E.A. Wright Bank Note Co., Philadelphia, and issued by Guatemala on August 31, 1948 as one of a set of five similar stamps commemorating the 4th Central American and Caribbean Soccer Championship, held in March, 1948, Scott No. C159.

Here are images of a block of four stamps depicting soccer players, designed and engraved by French artist Pierre Béquet (1932-2012), and issued by Monaco on December 12, 1963 as part of a twelve-stamp set commemorating the centenary of the British Football Association, Scott Nos. 560a, and 561-64.

The 2006 FIFA World Cup championship tournament was held from June 9 to July 9, 2006 in Germany. Australia qualified for the first time since 1974.
The souvenir sheet takes the form of a football and contains four commemorative stamps.

The 1978 FIFA World Cup, the 11th quadrennial international football world championship, was held in Argentina between June 1 and 25. A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament. Argentina won the championship by a 3:1 victory over the Netherlands.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a soccer player's legs and a soccer ball, designed by French artist Jean-Paul Véret-Lemarinier (1944- ), engraved by Claude Jumelet (1946- ), and issued by Monaco on May 17, 1994 to publicize the World Cup Soccer Championships, held in the USA, Scott No. 1909.

Canada hosted the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup (formally known as FIFA World Youth Championship) between June 30 and July 22. The tournament featured 24 teams coming from six continental confederations. Argentina, Czech Republic, and Chile captured the first, second, and third place, respectively.
