Today, I placed an order for a Binder, Slipcase, and 20 of the 8S pages. I know the 8S strips are a little small for some folks, but I think the whole package was a good deal at $43 (including shipping). Another reason to look forward to next week's mail KirkS P.S. This is not intended to be a commercial or advertisement, but I know several folks here have ordered from MIT_63 on ebay. Here's what I got... http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...B:EF:US:1123

I'll add my comments, too. He (Mit_63) consistently has the best prices on Vario pages and lighthouse products (binders, albums, and pages) of anybody on ebay. He also discounts for bulk orders (50, 100, 200 vario pages. 2-5 binders, etc). Sorry for sounding like a commercial, but I have been very pleased with my purchases from him. Here's the latest ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/25087197519....m1497.l2649 |

Good prices but he only ships to the USA. Probably thinks those abroad will be put off by postage costs.
Just a question whilst on the Vario topic. Has anyone ever tried the 'Vario Plus' pages? I got some in London recently and they are superb. Much more rigid and look really good. Gold logo bottom left.

The Vario Plus pages are very nice, indeed.
The Vario Plus, in conjunction with the black page separators, makes an extremely nice presentation for a small collection. They fill a binder quickly with the added thickness, but that is no big deal, if space is not a consideration. All Plus, all the time, might be a bit over the top. |

I actually have purchased quite a few of the Vario Plus pages from Mit_63 and yes they are really nice. I now prefer them over all other stock pages. |

LB:
Yes, I have several packs of the PLUS pages and I really do prefer them to the standard pages. They're a little more, but not much more and I like the extra rigidity.

Just an update...
I placed my order around 10am (on Aug 30). Just after noon, I received an email with a USPS tracking number.
Everything arrived today (Sep 1) -- well packed, all brand new in shrink wrap, in a genuine Lighthouse bag inserted into a priority flat rate mail box.

Just another plug for mit_63 (now Designer Stamp and Coin) store on ebay. I placed an order on Thursday and received it on Saturday. I will reiterate that I prefer the Vario PLUS pages to the regular pages, but got a good deal on the regulars, so I'm happy. Kirk |

I use the vario pages for my foreign stamps... Who can afford an album from each county. Its been said that some people have more invested in their albums than their stamps.... For me it works well |

Well, binders full of Vario pages get expensive after a while too. I have eight 3" D ring binders, and one 4" D ring binder filled with vario pages. I've never tried the PLUS sizes. I use mostly 3S and 5S. What I have in them are US Airmail plate blocks and FDC's. I do have a full set of White Ace album pages in two binders, but that collection is "finished." The one that keeps growing is the collection of covers, and for that the Vario 3S pages work for me. Well, I do have some 7S pages for US airmail stamps from C1-C31. There is a lot of flexibility with Vario pages. I like them. But I do have lots of $$$ spent on them.
Ran out of 5S last week, and ordered 100 more. Who from? Yes, mit_63. |

Kirk, I ordered 3 sets of 7s Plus sheets from them last night. Hadn't known there was a better option than the regular ones.
Looking forward to getting these
thanks for the tip |

For BLCJR and other -- just to make sure I'm clear -- the PLUS doesn't refer to the SIZE, it refers to the thickness of the pages.
The PLUS pages are a little more rigid and sturdy than the standard pages.
I believe that Vario does have a new line of larger pages -- those they call GRANDE (9 1/2" x 12 1/4")

KirkS Thanks for pointing out the distinction. I was thinking "GRANDE" when I saw "PLUS." |

Quote: I will reiterate that I prefer the Vario PLUS pages to the regular pages I received my first "Plus" pages last year when I bought a set of Lighhouse binders from Bernie (Mit_63). Since then, I have been converting my older style vario pages to the Plus pages. Mit_63 offers discounts when you buy in bulk lots of 50, 100, or 200 sheets. If you plan on using a lot of them, I recommend buying in bulk from him ... Brian |
