Dear collectors,

I'm glad that you opened this topic. I must warn the Fiume stamps that are overprinted on Hungarian stamps that are mostly 70% of counterfeits. For them, the certificate required even for small values #8203;#8203;of the pieces.

These are specialties from my collection - inverted overprints, imperforate pairs, especially the blue stamp of 25 centisima that the printing of the image received a big white stain error and over it was overprinted. It is very rare, it is known that there are a few pieces, I am proud to have two.

So much from me for now on Fiume.

I remember in the 1950's every appproval house had tons of mint Fiume, they had to be fakes...i am very careful when purchasing stamps of Fiume. I liked the map earlier in the thread showing my mothers birthplace the province of Trento..when she was born in 1916 it was the front lines..one week her town would have Austrian soldiers the next Italians...the local bar would take anyones currency !

Here is a lot I purchased 2 years ago on ebay . I did not return it due to the number of FAKES , I wanted to build a reference source for real and fakes ,so to me it was worth what I paid for it and just noted off the fakes .
