I can't read Chinese either but I reckon the top one is a former North China Money Order stamp overprinted for postal use in the Chinese People's Republic in 1951. The bottom one is the 1931 $30 Sun Yat Sen stamp surcharged in 1946 for $800 in the new Chinese National Currency.
Bamra1 is quite right. The top overprint reads 'Revalued to $50 RMB ('People's Currency')'. The second overprint reads '$800 CNC ('Chinese National Currency').
