This cinderella is most interesting. Research on the youth and peace conferences and the number of times held will be my next step.

Found this off of a site:

History

Actually originated at the International Youth Conference for Peace, Liberty and Progress in Brussels in 1936 but officially founded at the first World Youth Congress, called by the International Federation of League of Nations Societies and attended by delegates from 36 countries, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland 1936; aimed to provide an opportunity for youth of all shades of religious, social and political opinion to exchange ideas, to strengthen mutual understanding and to further international cooperation, the main task of the WYCM was the coordination of the work for peace of existing youth organizations.

The Second World Youth Congress was held in New York at Vassar College in 1938. Over 550 representatives from 53 countries attended. The delegates heard formal welcomes from President MacCracken and Mrs. Franklin Roosevelt.
On August 18, a breakthrough occurred when the American delegation—ranging from young communists and union members to students and members of religious youth movements—was able to agree unanimously on a seven-point program for world peace, which they presented to the congress.

This site tells a short story of the Canadian Youth Congress. With the 2nd World War starting in 1939, the world gatherings stopped as far as I can perceive.

RE: Rogers Bros.
"The International Silver Company used "The 1847 Girl" to promote its 1847 Rogers Bros. brand of silverware and tableware. In 1924 International Silver acquired International Silver Company of Canada, and its subsidiaries in Hamilton, Toronto and Niagara Falls. A sheet of 4 stamps was issued to promote the 1847 Rogers Brothers Silver plate brand, which was now manufactured in Canada. The stamps were printed by "Howell Lithographic, Hamilton" and probably produced in the mid to late 1920's."

From Field Guide to the Cinderella Stamps of Canada (used with permission):
"In 1903, the Canadian Manufacturers' Association lobbied for reform of trade tariffs to benefit Canadian industries such as agriculture, mining, fishing and manufacturing, to offset protectionist tariffs adopted in the United States. Preferential treatment was also sought for goods manufactured in countries of the British Empire. About 1905, the CMA issued at least two stamps to promote this economic campaign."

This is one of these stamps.

Has anyone seen the matching stamp that states: "When you can't get what you want at home buy within the British Empire"?

Edmonton economic promotion stamps from about 1930. I've seen at least 9 different ones. Does anyone know how many were in the complete set. I'm guessing 12.
