I don't have a catalogue here but #3 is Great Britain. #2 is Japan. I'm not sure about #1 but I'm thinking Austria? I'm sure someone will come along shortly with a catalogue to confirm. By the way, are you still at the same address. I have something to send you. Dianne |

#1 is Netherlands. Queen Wilhelmina 25 anniversary SC#131
Actually the GB Victoria is from 1881 SC#89, with 16 pearls in each corner (as opposed to 14 on the #88) |

Thanks for the help. WOW 1850's I think this may have just became the oldest stamp in my collection. Now to find out about #1 and see what kind of surprises it may have in store for me. |

The Japanese looks to be an SC#96 from 1899-1907. Sorry I don't have any current values for any of these. Minimal. |

You know I see so many newbies that all they care about is how much these little pieces of paper can fetch them. I really don't care about the monetary value as I do the educational value. I love my little pieces of paper. |

I feel the same way, Cimarron_Warrior. Every stamp to me has a history and a story to tell. Maybe down the road I want to know what they are 'worth'

I too have to chime in, that the obsession with value is redicouls. Its a hobby, not an investment! |

Value is part of the prize, if it wasn't we would be checking for inverted and reversed watermarks, plate flaws, rare colors and anything else that can turn a $2 purchase into a $150.00 real world holding or cash out. |
