Amazing.

The ebay lot is ungummed according to the seller and is a fair price in my opinion if indeed they are what he says they are.

But these ungummed are beginning to bother me a bit......

Who know what you can expect from tomorrow? :)

Btw. could you tell me does this "papers" also has some name? Upper row of the "tryings" on the different color papers? 2x3 on the dark background? Also also lot of color... proofs? Is this stuff also collectible? Maybe they also have the similar story as the mercury airmail labels?

james......quite a steal. But one can expect to pay about $2 a piece for regular types. Those shown in this thread [Gold and Royal Purple] and the link left earlier by filipo, show scarce or unlisted types and therefore more expensive.
Nice labels these, with a nice story behind them.

Today a registered packet arrived from Croatia......it was a day I had been hoping for and after the hope, waiting for.

I now see before me examples of the labels presented to His Majesty King George V at the London Stamp exhibition in 1923.

It is a very exciting day and later I will study the labels and confirm what we have already found out......that these are very special items of Britsh Exhibition material !
