I was just going through my "save for later" box, and I came across this. Why would it be cancelled in Morse Code?

Welcome mystic226...According to Morse code 3 dot and a dash is the letter "V".

So, was there a specific reason for this cancel, or could it just be filed under the "fancy cancel" category? From the date on wt1's cover, it was used quite a few years before victory was declared, so I am guessing it is sort of a "go team!" type of thing?

Thant airmail stamp is one of my favorite Canada stamps.

Maybe there was a specific battle that was going on or just won, that is if the cancel had limited use.

It is a good simple boost the morale cancel though.

I'm not able to verify the reference, but I found this quote on a Postal History blog of Canadian slogan cancels:
