Here's SC 544 8 cent Centennial black Transportation in a consolidation of the positions of varieties posted by alani as well as catalogued constant varieties. No attempt was made to differentiate between pane, coil, booklet, perforation or tagging.

The third of the `smudgy oval` stamps this one
is located in the left margin at the bottom of
the seven. Reported variety.

Here are the 3 `smudgy ovals`. The middle one was
posted on page 16 and the right one on page 17.
All three are at the same vertical position but
on different stamps. They are thought to be caused
by the same object.

Here we have four dots in the top right corner.
They are found on four separate stamps.
I`m showing them on one stamp for convenience.
I have only one copy of each but they are all listed varieties.

Here is another group of four varieties shown
on one stamp for convenience. As before I only
have one copy of each and they are all reported
varieties. These are the last of the seven cent
varieties I have found so far...Alan.

Here we have a pair of varieties on a
pair of stamps. The 6c black has two dots
under the train. The 1c brown has one dot
in the top right margin.
From the booklet BK69.

Here`s another example of the dots under the train. It
comes from a se-tenant pair with the dot in the top right
margin of the 1 cent stamp but there is only one dot
under the train. A mystery.

This looks like a kiss print. You can see the dots to
the right of the 1 and CANAD. It looks like the paper
touched the plate a second time. Booklet BK69.

Here we have another example of the kiss print.
This one has the dots on the left instead of the
right of CANAD. How is this possible?
BK69 was printed with six rows of panes 18 across.
Pairs of rows were printed tete-beche. On the
first row the Queen is quite normal.
On the second row the Queen (and CANAD) is upside
down. If there was a kiss print the dots would
be on the left side of CANAD.
