Here are a few others. Comments would be appreciated. I am thinking of selling these on ebay. I don't imagine these are very valuable. Do you think it's worth the effort listing these - maybe not individually, or as a group...

These are mostly common Australian State issues unfortunately, The KGV NWPI 4 pence overprint and 4 pence blue KGV are the gems in this lot, Catalogue $15 & $20 Aust$ respectively in fine used condition. But at auction would struggle to realise this - The condition of the 4 pence o'print is not great. You may struggle to get $5.00 for the lot on ebay

That's what I thought. Thanks. I'm slowly making my way through the old album. It's still interesting to go through and look at stamps from years gone by...Azerbaidjan, Tanganyika, Danzig, Dutch Colonies, etc..

I'm sure you will come across a gem or two, might be worth going to your local library and borrowing some Stanley Gibbons Catalogues "Stamps of the World" could be a good past time to research the stamps - some fun anyway.

That's a good idea. One additional question: to sell stamps on auction, there's ebay, but I also notice Delcampe. I've sold coins on ebay with some success, and have bought a few things off Delcampe. Do you have any experience as a seller on Delcampe, or other auctions to sell stamps?

I have bought a few things from Decampe (not listed as yet) it seems to be a little cluttered with stuff, I think this site has increased in size in an attempt to compete against ebay, hence ebay has relaxed some of its fees to retain its market share, I find there is more quality on ebay, maybe thats the place to go. I used to list stuff on ebay and have started again, I see they wiped all my previous feedbacks, now I have to start again from scratch.

I think I will stick with ebay. My coin selling there has been good. I do notice that there are tons of stamp listings on ebay that don't seem to sell. I've even put up a few American stamps, but unlike my coins, there do not appear to be even nibbles. Things have come a long way since I was collecting. I'm an oldie (over 60) and when I was a teenager it was a whole lot more challenging to look for what you needed to fill in gaps in the collection. I would go to weekend stamp and coin shows, try trading, visiting a few dealers here and there, and even finding things in my pocket change. Now whatever you need it seems is up on ebay and you can find it in a second.
