Hi All
Last night my wife and I went to the Barrie District Stamp Club for their Spring auction and I was pleased to see jamesw again and, also, for the first time, I met 'blackjag'. We all had an interesting talk.
It sure would be nice to meet other SCF members at the different stamp functions.

I've wondered the same thing and thought it could be handy to know what CITY and STATE people live in other than just the listed United States (or Canada, or Great Britain, or whatever listed country may appear next to your avatar). Just in case there are others living nearby.
I'd be happy to start out if others want to join in - Where are you located?
for me the answer is Everett, Washington (U.S.A.)
anyone else want to add their city? |

Yes, but unless someone wants to click through hundreds if not thousands of them, this is a nice friendly way to meet each other (and see what parts of the world we come from).
Simply making conversation as a stamp community and not leaving it to the individual users to dig through a cold, computerized database.
If someone isn't interested, they can just not post it here in the thread. Simple as that. |

A good time was had by all (I think). It was great to see you and Linda again bujutsu, and to finally meet blackjag as well. We both joined the club around the same time (he's one number before mine) and this is the first time we've actually connected. My thoughts go out to his wife who's just had surgery.
I must say, Bujutsu and I bumped heads only once on a nice cover, but he was quiet the gentleman and backed down very gracefully. I'm sure the determination in my bids was enough to frighten anyone. |

I can only blame myself with jamesw because the cover in question was an advert one and he informed me that I was the one who got him started on those, but, he told me I could visit it any time in his home Chimo Bujutsu |

Quote: for me the answer is Everett, Washington (U.S.A.) Too bad you're not on the South side of Seattle, we might have a better chance of bumping into each other. I make it up to Olympia and Tacoma frequently. Portland, Oregon. Brian |
