Having a devil of a time cataloging them. Looks like I stuck an extra 450p stamp in there.

The range of these stamps is amazing. Different printings
and papers and I think perfs. It`s a huge specialty.

I wonder why they added the "gray burlege" (sp?).

Hi smauggie

Send me your e-mail address and I will send you a Mexico table that I use to break down Mexico collections. It has an Exporta table which will make your life a lot easier when cataloging these.

Put SCF-EXPORTA in the subject, so I;ll know it is real, and send to
jerrybemail-stamps "at" yahoo "dot" com.

Form Linn's How To section:

Quote:
Burelage (pronounced BUR-[ah]-lej){JerryB - French not Spanish} — A design of fine, intricate lines printed on the face of security paper, either to discourage counterfeiting or to prevent the cleaning and reuse of a stamp. The burelage on some stamps is part of the stamp design. See also "moire" and "security paper."

Are these just the basic set? Also are there any new ones being issued? Thanks!

Hi HKStamps

That's it. There are no more being issued that I know of. I believe the last batch were issued in 1992.

Thank you for your kind offer. Email sent. I hadn't planned on collecting any modern Mexico stamps, but these exporta stamps fascinate me.

Hi smauggie

Mexico table sent.

When I was working in my friend's stamp shop a person cam in looking for some EXPORTAs. He brought his "album" of them and it was pretty impressive. Evidently Scott does not give the whole picture. It seems that there are paper varieties that are not Scott listed. MEPSI might have more information.

While the stamps of this issue are relatively easy to collect, try to collect them on cover, especially to foreign designations. Some destinations are very rare.
