Hi,
I should say thank you to everyone who spent time and efforts so our collections can look even more beautiful.
Hopefully this question has not been asked before: Where can I get blank 70 lb cream finch paper used by the Heirloom albums or something similar to print the pages? What would be a good printer to print them and any special settings for the printer?
Thank you. |

Mystic sells blank pages with a pre-printed border. That's what I currently use. In the past I had used 32 lb. ivory 100% cotton paper. Color-wise, it was a close match. Texture and thickness-wise, it was not. |

Here are the specific print size and fonts per Mystic. Hope that helps.
Headlines – Helvetica Bold 20pts
Text boxes – Times 9/10
Captions – Helvetica 8/9 |

Are my font sizes off? I thought I was using the right ones. |

Ok, I updated the Page 667 hack to make 2 pages. One allows you to mount the whole Legends of American Music strip, the other lets you mount, just the se-tenant, without the second Elvis stamp on the bottom of the strip. Some pics: Blog post here to downloaded needed files: http://stamphacks.com/wp/?p=1011 |

apastuszak, I love the commitment to righting the wrongs by redesigning existing album pages! Beautiful work! What kind of scanner or software do you use to create such clean files? Based on your obvious investment of time, you must have a very understanding wife. |

I don't use a scanner. I use an open source Desktop Publishing program called Scribus and do it all by hand. I do scan the text and OCR it using the free copy that came with my Epson scanned called Abby Finereader.
I can create a modified Mystic page in under 15 minutes usually. I test fit the stamps, wife proofreads the pages and it's online in usually a half hour from when I start. After you've made enough of them, you can go back to older pages and reuse box sizes. |

On another note...
I make pages for the se-tenants I have. If you need a page made that's pre-2001 and can give me the exact measurement of the stamp in the mount in millimeters, I can make the page. That way you get the page quicker, and the page is ready for me when I finally get the stamp. So, it's a win-win. |
