Can't you just cut and paste the Google URL if you've just looked at them?? I'm not quite that interested to go hunting! |

i was clearing out more clippings to be re-cycled and came across this article on Paquebots cancels etc, and thought I would post it in here. it was taken from Scott's Stamp Monthly from November 1998. If I come across more interesting images etc., I will post them in here. Chimo Bujutsu |

Bujutsu: a bit of a tease putting on the Queen Elizabeth ship cancel in black and white or sepia or buff or whatever rather than colour. A splash of colour showing the real thing would be nice. I would have thought that one of our down-under friends having a knowledge of ships and a huge database of images might have jumped in here with something. |

Now you got me going <G> I have a cover that was given to me from a friend of mine in town here. His parents were on the QE II and I kept that cover. I'll dig that out and get an image in here - in colour. Unforuntately, a lot of the old paper clippings are in glorious B/W but, some of the articles are quite informative and worth keeping. I also have clippings dating back to the early 1960s and some even earlier. Most will be thrown out (re-cycled paper I mean) but, some will be saved and put into special binders. They will be easier for me to index too Chimo Bujutsu Chimo Bujutsu |

Maritime Mail Mark : CABOTAJE (Chile) Correspondence by sea from one port to another within the country. Colors: Red, Black or Violet. This mark of maritime transit was used since 1835 (pre-philatelic times) November 18, 1893 When the CABOTAJE mark has been used as a receiving mark it would imply that the sea charge was no longer being levied. The latest record date of the CABOTAJE mark being used as a cancel or receiving mark is November 12, 1926. Oct. 1926: |

Very nice cover jorgesurci.
I think this is the first time I have seen that term "Cabotaje" used too. Always interesting to see what is out there.
