Thanks, Steve!

So, these should be the premiers from the "junk"...

Scott #302 ... tear is made when it was used, and it probably could be partially fixed when (and if) this pair will be soaked. Or I can try to soak only that part, to fix it?

Other interesting blocks... can anyone help me to determinate which was the original value of the green stamp (before it was surcharged)?

I am curious is this Bayern's stamp could be considered as an error, because it was used in the "Deutsches Reich", and it doesn't have the required surcharge?

And some cindies for the end:

Filipo, the Scott 302 pair above is "sagezahnartig durchstochen"! I can not translate; don't know enough about these perforations, but if you Google 'sagezahnartig durchstich' it will give an explanation ( in German ).

Thanks, Peter, I already found it... it is "Seratte Roulette" terms used in English... although it is obviously french... on the 2nd scan, both 10 mlrd and 20mlrd's are the "Seratte Roulette", and have some premium values (although smaller than 20milionen), so it is a reason why I selected them out from the book.

I didn't remove that piece from the scrapbook yet, so I can't make a better scan right now.

If you are curious about their perforations, they have a usual perf. 14 (they are NOT "Serrate Rouletted").

But, if you are interested in some other details, please, let me know, and I will remove them carefully, and make a better scan for you.

I'm not sure but I think the stamp on the bottom left is a revenue, not a Cinderella.

Hi filipo,

Before you soak any stamps off paper you ought to check the postmarks. On a quick look over what you have posted I would say that a good proportion will have more appeal on paper with a complete postmark. Keep all postmarked multiples on paper. Do not rush this. It is worth taking some time about it. Good luck.

Terry

New12collector - you have a right, it is a revenue... but, it is very usual, so I called it a cinde.

Hi Terence Collins! Thank you on the wise advice... so, I will not soak them at all. Fortunately, the remains of the wraps and covers are usually "harder" than Scrapbook's pages, so I can easily remove them... (with a remains of the glue and scrapbook's papers on them), without a danger to damage stamps or postmarks. A last couple of scans represents my efforts to do that (they are already removed without any problem).

No, not exactly, but it is mixed 4-color franking, and certainly of interest to somebody, somewhere. Is the postmark before July 1, 1922?

Yes, it is from March (6?), 1922,

It looks that contemporary owner of this scrapbook somehow felt that stamps from the inflation period are going to be interested to someone. But, the real gems are probably removed a decades ago, when, for example, a 4 Scott's #320 wasn't been enough interesting to be saved.

It seems that original owner of this scrapbook was an illustrator, and cigarette's (or chocolate?) cards was his work. They are done in a very similar way like his original work saved in the book.

And postal cards are part of his correspondence with different editors of magazines and publishing houses in Italy, Swiss, Germany etc.

Nope... he was a publisher, not an artist... so, the original works are done by some other artist...

I will appreciate any help to determine the original values of these 2 stamps... the upper one is surely not 1000... it could be 200, 300, 400 or 500, I think.

The down one could be also 1000... I really can't determine any other cypher behind the zeros :/
