I can't seem to find these in my Scott. Usually, if something's not listed in Scott, it's because it was never officially issued. I suspect these are unissued stamps from either Azerbaijan or Georgia. Does anybody know for sure? Anyway, whatever they are, they are very nice indeed!
Focus on Forgeries lists 300 forgery as having a 'fat star' - the lower 2 points of the star are almost as wide as the top arms. The genuine has the lower 2 points much more narrow than the top ones.
The 301 forgery has no white rays around the star, the genuine has thick white lines on either side of the star.
BTW does you book on forgeries list the 1851 Austrian newspaper stamps? I have several of those to work with at the moment, and I can't find much information on the Internet about how to distinguish the work of the various forgers. I'm sure that two are by Spiro, but have no clue about the other four.
