I have another copy of the australia king george VI 2.5d stamp with extra d can be seen beside the overprinted right below the corner position there. It is happened because the overprinted had shifted slightly to the left side instead of cover up the whole entire of the letter there.I can see the value as 2.5dd or pence pence right now on the stamp and it is certainly looks interesting to me.It is all depend on how you look at it and pronous the value there.I would think there are many people with difference opinions but this is my personal opinion for this stamp.I have more than ten copies of the similar stamp but I have only found one liked this to be honest.I think this is something unusual to me and special thing.

It looks very interesting to me and I always look at it.I need the experts to give me the personal opinion and explanation there.I would apprieiciate your help very much as usual.I will get back to you very soon after your reply there. Please check it out on the scans below and let me know what you think.Thank you

Looks pretty normal to me. Simply a 2d uprated to 2½d. I can check my Bridger & Kay when I get home from work and see if they list any varieties for this overprinted Stamp.

*Edit* BK & Scott both show it as being normal.

I know the overprinted is normal but my point is the d or pence is clearly can be seen and readable exactly right beside the overprinted there.Thank you

You have an observant eye. However, I would say the shift is not significant enough to warrant any significant increase to its retail value.

The shift would have to completely miss the original 2d in order to attract the attention of an EFO collector. And even if it did, any premium would be very minor.

Can I see "AUSTRAUA" on some of these stamps?

Definitely not my area.

Australia 1800's to 1938 and then 1990 to recent is what I am into.

But if I can get the time I have the stamps in bundleware to seriously do Australia 1939 to 1989.

That is what I meant by normal. Both Scott and Bridger and Kay show the "d" outside of the overprint, or the overprint not covering the "d".
The only varieties that Bridger and Kay list are the Medallion flaw and one other that has to do with an omitted overprint on an attached pair.

Hi Chinesestamplover.

This stamp is one of my very favorite stamps. It is more valuable than money to me because I like it very much. I like to look at it.

My adult boys say "chill" to someone that gets angry so it means something to me.

I have many stamps that are worth a lot of money but these stamps mean very little to me. I like stamps that I like to look at more than how much I can sell them for. It is good to share with you!
