Just mailed 30 letters today using the $1.80 titanic international stamps, what I forgot was the price increase, will they let them go through or will they be returned??

Any others here do the same thing.

Maybe the recipients will get some really cool Postage Due stamps from Canada Post

Seriously, I bet the majority of them will be delivered without a second look.

Let us know....

Unfortunately, we no longer use postage due stamps. If they make it to the addressee, the post office will notify the recipient that there is postage due.

Sad but true

Same here in US Bujutsu. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to be funny

I think the current method in US is for the mail carrier to leave a small envelope in the box indicating the amount due. You're supposed to put in the money and leave it for the next day.

Jack, my Christmas time experiment saw an envelope delivered to my sister with only a 10 postage due stamp on the corner. Not only not enough postage but an obsolete stamp as well. Made it there no problem, without a cancel of course!

I doubt there will be a problem . when I send small packages of lures that can push the weight limits I always lean in my favor and only 2-3 times have I received the package back saying insufficient postage. Usually this stuff is caught by the pick up driver and you would receive the lot back within 2-3 days at most.

There shouldn't be a problem... Most postmen seem to feel that they have have better things to do with their time than check the rate on envelopes.

(I, as an experiment decided to send a dozen envelopes that were under franked ( 3¢ stamps, mainly) or that were using invalid stamps (from Tuvalu)- all of them got through!)
