Have this stamp on a cover. First time seeing a stamp imperf 3 sides perforated 1 side. Tried looking for it in the net but could not find. Is it normal for stamps to be imperf 3 sides and if so do they have a name for such stamps.Inputs appreciated.Thanks.

Russ, like it's modern counterparts, does this mean it is a coil stamp that was probsbly mechanically applied to an envelop? On the scan that Selva made it looks like the stamp is perforated on two sides ( left and right ), but the cutting was off to the left.

Probably from an affixing machine. Most of these machines had knifes to cut the coil. These machines often became mis-aligned and could cut right through the center of the stamps.

If you look on the right side, you can see portions of the perforations.
