I've been heavily downsizing my collection (a necessity at this point) and have been tossing all my cinderellas in a box to eventually move out. Is there any monetary value to cinderellas? Are there a lot of collectors or specialists?
Do you consider stamps not cataloged in Scotts to be cinderellas (ie: a lot of the middle east material)
I bet there are a few guys/gals here that would happily cough up a few bobbles for your cinderellas. Show us what you have and I am sure you will get at the very least good information. As for the dune states ,I believe it is gaining popularity from an interest point but not so much from a value point.
Don't ever assume cinderellas are worthless. Depending on the subject matter and date, some can be quite valuable to specialty collectors. If in doubt, scan a few examples for us, as it's a fascinating side hobby to a general stamp collection that many of us do enjoy.
I've collected cinderellas for 50 years and have authored both articles and a book on the subject. Cinderellas are often more interesting to collect the postage stamps.
As to the values just like postage stamps… pennies to thousands of dollars.
I collect "Any philatelic material that depicts a motorcycle, or part thereof, or name of manufacturer, where the make of motorcycle is recognizable as being of ITALIAN ORIGIN." http://www.flickr.com/photos/593463...28141992497/
