Nagaland is actually a state in modern India - on the north eastern territory.

From what I understand we don't have stamps issued specifically by them. All stamps are rolled out under India.

A quick internet states a guy named Clive Feigenbaum released some illegal stamps under this state name !

Interesting one to probe though. Why this particular state, when we have 29 Modern Indian states in total.

Bogus stamps are issued for Nagaland as part of its struggle for independence from India. Obviously the "stamps" have no validity.

In describing the World War II activity in Nagaland (the battle of Kohima) Wikipedia states the following. "In 1944...the Indian National Army with the help of the Japanese Army, led by Netaji Subhashchandra Bose, invaded through Burma and attempted to take India through Kohima. The population was evacuated. British India soldiers defended the area and having lost many of their original force were relieved by the British in June 1944. Together the British and Indian troops successfully repelled the Japanese (and Indian National Army) troops. The battle was fought from 4 April to 22 June 1944 in the town of Kohima, coordinated with action at Imphal, Manipur. The Indian National Army lost half their numbers, many through starvation, and were forced to withdraw through Burma."

Clive Feigenbaum was quite the entrepreneur....it's just too bad that he was involved with stamps rather than something else.
