I remember gluing these in books, when you had 50 books you could redeem them for a toaster.

And the competing yellow stamps. Same concept, different company.

We are dating ourselves.

The scan of the sheet of stamps is rather poor. Can someone tell me what the stamp reads? Is it S&H Green Stamps or some other Green Stamp program? Where did the stamps come from (what area of the country)? There were many regional trading stamp companies through the years, some lasted for decades while others lasted only a few years before either going out of business or consolidating with one of the better known trading stamp companies.

While trading stamps don't generally have much of any value, they are still an interesting collectible and a reminder of yesteryear.

Since there's a little pig on the stamps, my guess is they're from Piggly-Wiggly Grocery chain. The "yellow" competitor was Top Value stamps. I just sent J- an envelope of old trading stamps, he can post them when he gets them, many varieties.

50 Books sounds way too high for a toaster; maybe 4 books? You could get a nice baseball glove for 2˝ books of S&H green stamps (I did, circa 1955).
