How do you value a MNH stamp if there is(are) natural ink offset(s) on the gum side of a MNH stamp?

If it is natural ink, under the gum, no devaluation at all.

Is it from the gum sticking to some other stamps, or album page, or whatever - it can no longer be considered MNH.

Well it's technically not on the Stamp since it's a souvenir sheet. I was thinking an offset like this

Ah Yes, sorry for not being precise. In any case, I do see many stamps having these types small marks on the back side and that makes me wonder whether to pay full price or with deductions. Guess it's not an exact science.

Despite the fact they are "natural," I would consider them an unsightly distraction at least as undesirable as a hinge mark, and would pay 20% less. I don't find setoffs interesting or charming. There are extreme cases of a perfect image, but that's not exactly what we're talking about.

Offset would be an error. Set-off, which is fairly common, is ink transfer from the previously printed sheet not being dry when the sheets were stacked.
