Found this curious little item going through a cover pile. Unfortunately there is no date but it appears to be during or around WW2.

A classic piece of postal history. The proper use of a 1-1/2-cent precancel from Boston, Mass. also makes for an interesting collectible.

Given that the last quote on the front of the card refers to a date of July 1945, it seems this card would have been printed just after the conclusion of World War II, and certainly speaks for the sentiment of America at that time, particularly in the field of philately. Remember, too, that this period was arguably the height of stamp collecting in America.

Lovely piece of history.

It was a friend of mine that showed me Hitler stamps as a kid that got me started into the hobby.

We bought an H.E. Harris cloth bag of 1000 WW stamps for a $1.00 and my brother, sister and I sorted them for our albums.
