I have been collecting, and storing, coils for longer then I can remember. Very little of it has been organized or mounted in my collection. I collect World Wide but spend little time with my US stamps. Most of them are stored in glassine and filed. I can probably find what I'm looking for, but they are stored not mounted, organized or displayed in any way.
So...how do you organize yours, in particular, the coil strips. I have anywhere from 3-5 or more in a strip to 25 in a strip. My eventual goal is to mount certain ones in the main collection but the others still need to be organized in such a fashion they are available to inspect and in a orderly fashion. Right now they are in glassine in plastic boxes.
I am not sure if stock pages are the answer or not. This issue has been rolling around in my head for a long time.
Flyinlo, I collect Transportation Coils and specialize in the Cottrell Press printings. Needless to say, I have the same trouble you have; one of storage in such a way that I can look at them and/or show them. I have no trouble with the majority of my strips, up to 18 or 19 stamps long will fit in either my home-made album or in a German made SAFE album. But I also collect longer strips, especially things like tagging breaks or other varieties that are a long way away from a plate number. In some cases I still keep the complete roll. Other than ZIP-lock baggies or medicine containers I have no solution!
