I found these in the back pages of my collection. I was wondering if anyone had information on this series.

Those are certainly oldies! They date back to at least 1917!

Here's some information about the two blue varieties. One would have to assume the violet one would have been issued around the same time period, perhaps a year or two before or after the others:

Thanks Wt1. As always a wealth of information. These were probably collected by Grandma, who would have been about 17 at the time and may have known some of the young boys interested in the merchant marines.

Always finding something interesting in her collection.
