I am sure a US citizen can go to a Canadian post office and make the purchase .. but it appears there will be no mail orders beyond the Canadian border. TY for your offer, 3Dadeo .. I will contact you. |

3Daedo can I please add on to your order for the Canadian Superman stamp? I promise to have my 50 posts by Sept. 10th. I only need 10 more posts. I can't even email you until I get my 50th post in. I have already met the time requirement as a member here. I would be interested in a single stamp, a souvenir sheet, a booklet, and a FDC please? I can pay via paypal for the items plus postage to the US? David |

Darkoath, no problem. Sorry for the late reply. Back to school for me (teacher). Maybe you have your 50 posts now? I don't want to break any rules. |

I know everyone is stomping at the bit to get these stamps but for me "Superman" evokes memories not unlike burning leaves in autumn. In the Ontario village where I grew up in the early 50's I would go to the drug store on Saturday night (the one night when the stores remained opened) and the druggist would slip me, and other poor kids, Superman comics (and Red Rider) that had the covers torn off. Speaking of burning leaves I can still smell the rotating trays of nuts that were kept warm on the counter. With comic books in hand you could slip two stores down the street to watch black and white tv in the hardware store's window.
Don't get me started on the Hardy Boys. |

Yesterday I was told by a Canada Post customer service rep that Superman stamp orders that are generated from standing orders would be allowed to go through, even if being shipped to the US. This contradicts what I was told by a different rep last week. Since today is the issue date, and I do have some items on standing order, I should know shortly which rep is correct. I was also told that the Superman stamps will be included in the quarterly pack, presumably the one for the third quarter, which should become available at the end of September. If previous form is followed, that would mean that the quarterly pack will contain singles of the booklet and coil stamps, as well as the souvenir sheet. Another wait and see. |

Again, with so many stamp collectors being older (>50) I am still astonished that they would not include at least one image of Superman drawn by Curt Swan. He was the definitive Superman artist from the 1950's to the early 1980's. If you read Superman during this period, this is the version of Superman you were familiar with. |

The Superman coil has backprinting ... in Kryptonian! Here is the start of my roll; have not yet translated it: Here is a link to the Kryptonian alphabet: http://www.omniglot.com/writing/kryptonian.phpThere are 2 parts to the text: English (covering 14 stamps) and French (covering 17 stamps). I have translated the text ... it does not say "Buy more Superman stamps!". I will let you have the fun of translating it (but can post the text if others desire). |

Got my uncut press sheet today...and it's got a tagging error on it. The 2 last stamps on the lower left portion of the page are missing some of their tagging. Can anyone validate if the error is on every press sheet? |

"... SHIELD IS MORE THAN SUPERMANS FAMILY CREST IT IS A KRYPTONIAN..."
Minesweeper: I have two press sheets. One has the tagging error, the other does not!
