My translation is longer and much different than what 'sak' is showing. I wonder if there are different text on different rolls?

Mine roll shows:

"The S sheild is more than Supermans family crest its Kryptonian symbol that means hope"

"Lecusson S est bien plus que blason de la famille de Superman ce symbole signifie esmoir en Kryptonien"

(since I do not know French, did I get the correct spelling?)

pepere_jack: Yes! I have two sheets - one has no errors. The other has the spot mentioned by minesweeper AND the spot (like a turtle) on the top of the stamp you mentioned. I didn't see it before because (silly) I wanted the sheet out of its tube for as short a time as possible. Looks like a semi-constant error.

minesweeper: I was just translating the part of the line you displayed in your entry:
"The S SHIELD IS MORE THAN SUPERMANS FAMILY CREST ITS KRYPTONIAN symbol that means hope"
The French should probably read:
"Le cusson S est bien plus que blason de la famille de Superman ce symbole signifie espoir en Kryptonien"

It is amazing how people have found the time to create languages such as Kryptonian and Klingon. That time would be better spent collecting stamps...

I went to the PO in Windsor yesterday. Told the lady I came across (Detroit/Windsor tunnel) just for the stamps. She said she would have to check if she could sell them to me. Because the PO just had gotten instruction the stamps could not be sent to an American address. She got the all clear and all the had were the five booklets. But she said she would order me a Press Sheet, coil strip and souvenir sheet if I would like! Took my name and number and will call me when the arrive. Wondering if anyone else has crossed trying to buy them and got turned down.

I checked my two press sheets that arrived today for the tag flaws reported here ... One sheet had the two flaws while the other (quite wrinkled) sheet did not. Interesting.

May have to cut up the wrinkled sheet and use it for postage ... or cut up the individual panes, which do not have the UPC barcode, and sell them as 'missing colour errors' on ebay.

By the looks of it, one out of two sheets have tagging error. That's not a good ratio.

I wonder if we'll see the same tagging errors on the singles.

If anyone has found them locally, I would love to get 1 (random) booklet, one souv sheet, and a strip of four from the roll. I would be happy to pay purchase price, shipping, and something for your time and effort by PayPal. I would actually also like a press sheet but unless you have one extra, I feel that's just too much effort to ask.

Minesweeper: I am wondering why you say 1 in 2 is not a good ratio?

Sak: Well, I guess if you mess up 50% of what you print, it's not in your favor.

Same goes for collectors, if 50% of the items are bad, it has no more value than the errorless stamp.

Cal156, I previously offered to purchase for US members of the forum (within reason of course). I have already made one order.
If you wish, just e-mail me through the member info on this site and let me know what you would like.

Yesterday (September 30), I received Superman items from my standing order, delivered to me in the US.

I've also found a number of Superman items on ebay, some selling under face value.

I was at the post office recently to mail out the items to the US member on this forum. The clerk was speaking with a couple of ladies who were looking for some Superman items, especially a 50c coin(?).
I assume this is one of the commemorative coins that is issued on occasion.
They were talking about how one was already going for $2000 on ebay. Not sure of the issue price though.

Still seems to be a popular issue, though I'm not a big fan of the some the sales I see going on for these on ebay. Prices asked are not fair in my opinion, but that's just me. If the buyer is willing to pay, that's their business I guess.
