240

From row A to T and from column A to L.

That's 20 rows and 12 columns.

So, I row was worth one shilling and an entire sheet cost one pound, at the time, of course.

IF you are wondering if you have a Plate 77 then the answer in short is no. I'm not sure if you're confusing position 77 with plate 77 ?

Only 9 have been found according to the article, I'd say that qualifies it as rare. It's not how many were printed that makes a stamp rare or not but rather how many survived.

There is a great deal of controversy surrounding plate 77. On that other board, there is a huge multi-page discussion of plate 77. It is not as simple as a plate 77 being used to print stamps. No one really knows the origin of plate 77.
