Here's an interesting bunch of privately produced labels picturing prommenant buildings in Penetang (as it's called), though mostly churches and schools, also includes the Grand Trunk Railway Station and local hotel.
Only date on the booklet is 1907. The stamps are rouletted. Unfortunately the set is incomplete, there being only 16 of the 24 labels in the book.

I thought they were unusual too, B. All the more reason to grab them. Who knows, they could be the only ones left in existence.

Looking at these again has got me wondering. How many of these buildings are still standing? Anyone live in the area?

Here's another set of similar Souvenir Stamps advertising landmarks from Annapolis Royal, NS. Also from about 1907. Two duplicated panes.

Great CindyCan

Now, this has me wondering, how many cities and towns across Canada produced these?

There must be a lot more out there I am sure.

Here are a few more examples, though I haven't seen the full booklets. All seem to have been based on postcards available at the time.

I would be inclined to say, regardless where these special booklets were produced, there is a pretty good bet that the images can be found separately on postcards.
