My subscription still works. But I just looked through my bank statements back through the beginning of November, and I don't see a charge for the subscription. I noticed it's up to $59.99 a year now. I know I didn't pay even close to that when I signed up originally.
I'm afriad if I call them and they check, they'll try and re-subscribe me at the much higher rate.

I hope you gave them your credit card number to pay for all those back issues! :-) |

look on your latest edition, 1/27 or 2/3, in the lower address label they print the expiration date, if they received your payment they will extend the date to 2015. I think I paid close to $60 (by ck)and yes it has gone up. I get a preview about 1 week early via electronic media. |

I subscribe to the electronic version. I never get anything in the mail, and I can't seem to see my subscription information on the web site anywhere. |

So, here's where my confusion sets in.
A year of Linn's costs $59.99 now. Expensive, but it does come out weekly, so I can see that.
A year of Linn's digital costs $59.99. This seems a tad high, since it's digital. No printing and mailing costs. There should be a discount.
When I signed up originally, I think I paid $19.99 for Linn's digital, with the monthly paper copy. I never read the monthly, except on my iPad, so I asked them to please switch me digital for everything, which they did.
That was 2 years ago. I don't think I've been billed since then. I'll keep the magazine for $20.00 a year all digital. I don't want it for $59.99. I mostly use it for Scott number updates at this point, so switching to the monthly would be more than acceptable for that purpose. |

Same thing happened to me. I emailed them asking why I couldn't get to my info and they replied that it was because my subscription had lapsed, I shouldn't be able to view Linn's online, and they cut me off without even an offer to renew. The response I received struck me as being particularly rude - that it was my fault - and killing my access to the publication was the remedy to the issue.
I haven't been back since and I have no plans to renew based upon the poor customer experience.

So, I will refrain from contacting them and simply enjoy my free subscription.
What's interesting to me, is that the website gives you access to ALL their stamp and coin related publications. I can go download every issue of Coin World, even though I don't have a subscription to that magazine. I'm thinking if I end up subscribing to just the monthly, the web site will still give me access to the weekly issues.
The company they used to set up their online magazine, Mattercast, seems to have gone under, and they're not willing to get a replacement. All my attempts to get them to offer PDF versions of their magazine are met with complete silence, probably because there's nothing they can do. |

I'm experiencing basically the same situation. My credit card was replaced due to some fraudulent activity so my subscription lapsed and I don't receive the print publication but can still read the online version, though I usually don't due to not being PDFs.
Here's the odder thing though. I subscribed to the monthly print version but could always view the weekly online. So it makes no sense to pay $59.99 for online ever. Maybe its a fluke, and I wouldn't count on it, but seems like you can subscribe to monthly print & digital AND get access to the weekly digital for $19.99.
The frustrating thing is I keep intending to renew, but I go to their website thinking I could view a user profile or something to get some basic info on my subscription, and there's nothing. This (and the PDF thing) makes me think they have the bare minimum online implementation with no means of supporting it and they aren't willing to shell out the money to turn it into a decent online experience. They probably just store your email address in an Access database and to turn off a digital subscription they probably have to manually delete or update a record. |

You can print to PDF, which is what I do. Then I read it on my Nexus 10. The files are pretty large when you do it this way, because every single page is a full image. I get file sizes between 80-100MB. But it works for now. |

I have not paid for a subscription in years but seem to be able to read the full version online. I keep thinking I ought to pay, and would be glad to except the digital version doesn't work exceedingly well on my iPad. |

Printing to PDF works well. Do people need a guide and maybe some recommended software? |

So, that's what I get for opening my big fat mouth. My login no longer works. Amos must be reading this forum. |

I was wondering why you did this, Andy! That was asking for it, sort of! By the way, Scott numbers can always be found on the Virtual Stamp Club. They appear sometimes before Linn's has them!

Peter I was concerned the card on file was suddenly going to get charged $120 for the last 2 years. This cancellation will allow me to check out the competing publications and see what they have to offer. If I find my way back, I'll simply get the monthly subscription, since that gets me the Scott numbers I am looking for. You know at one point I emailed Linn's and told them they had included a Ukraine update in their Scott monthly number updates. A few weeks later, they printed a years worth of Ukraine stamps in their monthly update. |
