Edit - just read my SG and it states sg49a other colours exist (proofs that have passed the post) - please can someone confirm.

I would lean toward stationery, too, but in this design and value, the envelopes that I've seen were red, and the cards that I've seen were blue, so... something else?

I don't have access to Higgins to confirm that the colors I've seen are the only colors, but someone might.

Its probably postal stationary of some kind, possibly cut from a money order: Higgens & Gage J9, J12 or J15 maybe. Paper on J9 is pinkish and J12 & J15 pinkish to lilac.

From my inventory ,here are the same stamp and notice the one like yours with the cut thru postage stamp .
