The black print is shifted 1mm left and 1mm down with a strong "ALBINO" second and third impression near proper position. I have only heard of the double print variety. Has anyone seen a triple before, or have I discovered the first one? I just got this stamp today and am quite pleased.

Your picture is very bad, much unlike you! But all I see is a black misregistration. I am not very familiar with Canadian printing techniques, but your "albino" print looks like maybe the tagging? No double impression here, let alone a triple one!

Peter if you look at the D-CANADA you can clearly see the "ALBINO" print. The first 2 times around the black plate did not pick up the ink. The third time it did but the sheet was put in lower down so the print was shifted from normal.

Think it is caused by lighting de-fraction.

I think it is only a Colour Shift. Maybe the "albino" is just how the other colour dots are done to prepare for the text print.

The bottom lettering on those high dollar issues were done seperate and are noted for being rough and very shifted. If the Word Fundy was an actual double there would be interest as with the $2 Kluane 727. I have a copy of 727iii with doubling of Kluane and the lower text is so far out of wack but the bottom is common.

This is a known variety. It is Unitrade Canada Specialized Catalogue #726ii for the double albino imprint. With the reverse embossing, you can easily see that not only has the black imprint shifted well to the left from the raised lettering, but there is visible doubling of the lettering where the "ALBINO" print has occurred. These are the best pictures I could get today in the snow clouds (no light). I will try for better pics tomorrow.

I have adjusted this one so you can see the imprint better.

There is also one like this for sale.... http://www.armstrongsstamps.ca/efospecials.htm

After looking at the one from armstrongs and especially the new pics you are dead on correct. Your pics are always amazing but the first set maybe had too much light making the doubling look like it was from glare. You have a good eye and have found some unique anomolies even if a few are not listed . For some reason I could see you and Wert tag teaming a big box of kiloware.
