Hi...Take a look at these Scott#586c booklets..I noticed that the stamps are either glued to the folder part or repaired..cant figure which..??...Looks like paste up, but not sure.

Here is one booklet...take a look at where the stamps meet the folder.

Here is a close up at what I am talking about.

Also the number one looks like it is doubled printed or a ink smear.

Wert, the booklets in this series were notorious for the lack of quality control. Your sample photos show a minor paper crease. I'd have to take the time to count them but I probably have 125+ of these and I bet each one is slightly different from the next, including bad misperfs causing "tall" and "short" stamps, awful colour registration that causes all kinds of inconstant varieties and on and on.

I always wonder why Canada Post keeps mixing Prime Ministers and Head of States (the queen) on some of these booklets.....

Gilles I'm not sure if you're saying this tongue and cheek
or have this neither this nor this, so I guess it's a real
question.

Up until 1973 all lower value Canadian
definitives had the monarch depicted on them.

Finally in 1973 the Trudeau Liberal Postmaster figured it was time
to get the Queen off Canadian stamps or at least off most of them.

They didn't dare to go all the way but kept the Queen on the
all subsequent first class rates.

The 1973 - 1976 series were called the Caricature definitives
but might as well have been called the Prime Minister definitives
except for the fact the Queen was on a couple.

Same thing on our bills. You don't want the Queen on the $20?
I personally don't care who is on them but I wish they would print them on quality paper again,
I hate that polymer.

I am OK with either the PMs or the Queens on stamps, my question should have mean why both on the same booklet pane? I found that a bit odd.....

Well it was a 50c booklet. They could have just used five
10c Queens but by using the 1c and 2c stamps in combination
one could used them for various rates.
