The hitherto unknown manufacturer of printing presses did strike my eyes when reading a few lines in the Mexican catalogue of Guillermo Celis Cano:

Not only did he get the Waite & Saville written wrong, also the French Voirin!

I could only imagine another publication I may find that name:

The "75 Lat PWPW" or 75 years of the Polish State Printers - 1919-1994!

In 1929, they had 9 typography presses "Miehle", 1 monocolour offset-litho press, 2 bi-colour Voirin presses in the banknote dept. And also in other depts. they had 2 die stamp presses, 4 flat-bed "Sturmvogel" of Koenig-Bauer, 2 monocolour and 1 bi-colour Miehle press, but also a 4-colour "Iris" machine, later re-built into an "Orlow" type press!

That latter fact probably referring to what we now know better as the "Giori-process"!

Rein, thanks for all those images and links.

I'm amazed that the Polish State printer used
all those presses in 1929 even though probably
a large proportion was used to print banknotes.

If those 9 "Miehle" typography presses worked as well as our
Miehle vacuum cleaner than they they got a good deal.
