The best thing that I ever did was to recently switch to using this double-side tape with my mounts. Only about $5 per roll, which I double by cutting the pieces lengthwise, can be reused without damage to either the album page or the mount.

I agree with Stamps about the thickness of the Davo mounts. I like them. As to afixing, I use the Apastuszak method which is using glue sticks. Works for me.

I initially switched to using glue stick for my mounts, but over time they started coming off. Plus, the "wetness" of the glue stick did bleed through on the album page, which caused some waviness of the backs of the pages. Both problems that were solved using double-sided tape
