Hi guys..Take a look at my P.E.I. Scott # 9 stamp..I know its not a re-entry, but is this probably a broken/cracked or a dropped roller that causes this..?

Marks like that are quite common on PEI #9. I don't think it is a cracked cylinder, I think they are from scratches. Apparently this stamp can be plated, all stamps in the sheet have something different on them.

Here is one of mine with marks.

A specialized book was published by BNAPS in 2007.

Plating Studies on Prince Edward Island Stamps III. The Four Pence Issue - Scott #9 by Kenneth A. Kershaw. It is not cheap

A stamp that looks similar to yours is on the front cover.

Could also be lack of cleaning the plates leaving an access of ink.

I found a complete sheet image of PEI #9 (partially imperf) on http://citystamp.ca.

Wert's stamp can be seen in row 1, stamp 3. My stamp is not there, but I seem to recall that the master sheet consists of two different panes of 30.
